Alumina Ceramics
Alumina is a wear-resistant, advanced precision ceramic material commonly used in a variety of industrial applications. Once fired and sintered, it can only be machined using diamond grinding methods. It is characterized by high hardness and wear resistance, low erosion level, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and biological inertness. Additionally, it can be highly polished, allowing it to be used in precision sealing applications such as pumps and pistons.
